A few weeks ago, one of my favorite Youtubers requested that people draw him as a Sailor Moon character and he will send gifts in trade. Well, since I was too lazy to draw (go figure), I made him out of clay. Here is the video announcing the trade offer:

Whilst waiting for the weather to be a little less frosty (ie not mailing it out for a couple days), Evan said in another video that he really likes the tambourine that the characters use, my immediate thought was: Challenge Accepted.

I didn't realize the image was so blurry when I took this picture, so my apologies for that. This is Sailor Jupiter's tambourine and I think it came out pretty good for a first try! :D

☃☃ The Adventures of Dac and Laser + a Short Rant ☃☃

Recently, my friend who requested the Panda and Taco keychain chain ordered a fridge magnet of the same character, and thus DacTac was born. He was lonely when he first came into this world, until he met the studio livin’ veteran Laser the Hedgehog.

Dac and Laser's adventures began at the Corner Shelf Cafe. Dac ordered a Strawberry Cake, as recommended by Laser.

Laser soon learned that Dac was not going to be here very long, so they promptly left the cafe to go sight seeing!

Update, and why I haven’t posted anything recently:

The camera and I do not get along well. Whether it is the battery going dead, or the memory card taking a vacation, or the flash doing too good of a job, it seems like I always have some kind of problem. Today I took a bunch of pictures of new pieces, and the exposures on all of them are different (Thanks, Flash!), so it would look quite silly to upload them in the same post.  I might get them up today after my tech genius boyfriend shows me how to use the camera, or I might wait until after this holiday weekend, not sure yet. Either way, just know that there are a lot of exciting new pieces coming from the kitchen, including Holiday Cakes, Mickey Mouse, and Sailor Moon related items.

For the “gems” in the following, I used real stones to give them a more real life feeling. Hey, who can say gemstones aren’t cool, too!?

I call this one the "star brooch". The one one the left is a chunkier version and the right more flat. They are necklace charms.

Last but not least we have an army of No Faces. Painting them was quite tricky so I made a few to get practice. While they aren’t perfect, I think they will do for now. There are still 2 literal no faced No Faces in the “studio”, so they will be my chance to redeem myself :p

☺☺ New Decodens and Halloween Stuff! ☺☺

Hi and welcome back! ^_^ After the video game character charms, and the chibis, I had a chance to make some cakes. There was a Halloween cake on the cover of a cooking magazine that had really cool colors, so my intention was to create it and put it in a Halloween container. Here is how it went down:

After the last two, I figured I would make one even smaller, match the size to the container, and finally reach my goal. Well, at the last minute I stupidly put too wide of frosting on the edge and it doesn't fit either. >.<

I had planned to take pics of the latest from the creation kitchen, but the flash on the camera isn’t working, so here are some real life pictures for the mean time ^_^

Until recently, I have focused on cakes, sweets and decoden, so branching off into the video game realm has been a new and exciting challenge for me. I think my little guys turned out pretty well. ^_^ But I wanna know what you think too 😉

These are Shy Guys from Super Mario Brothers. The original shy guy is pretty cute, but these are just plain creepy in my opinion. Their creepiness makes them cool, though.

☻☻UPDATE !!!! Good things have been happening. ☻☻

Sorry I have been away so long, friends!

Here is the good news though, I have my clay figures in a couple of real life stores now 🙂 🙂 People have been telling me to use Etsy, but it just feels like a big garage sale to me. I figure it is a lot more prestigious to say “yes my work is at (name of store)”, than “yeah I’m in the sea of other crafters on Etsy. Also, people who want to buy can see the charm first, so that is another plus. Edit 2015- I broke down and made an etsy shop to more easily connect with people who are interested in my art. While I still hold that there are some garage sale-y things on the site, and I will continue to vend locally, it is very convenient to use the site for branching out.

This is not to say that I will not do custom orders through the internet though. In other words, if you want something seen on my blog or a custom job done, you can Email Me

Anyways, it took me about two weeks to get everything done to put in the stores. The first week focused solely on Sailor Moon items. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to take fancy pictures of everything so here is one image of all the pieces before they were delivered to their temporary home:

My favorite ones are the pentacles with gemstones in them and the big huge brooch with wings on it. The yellow little heart with wings was quite tricky to make. Everything else I have pretty much done enough times that I've got a system down. Hehe SOAD.

Question #1. Why did you start blogging?

Answer: I wanted a place to show case the little creations I have made and keep a chronological order of them so my friends, family, and new friends can see the progress. And also a place to talk randomly about life or whatever comes to mind ^_^

Question #2) Books or movies?

Answer: Books preferably, though if I am going to watch a movie it is probably anime or some kind of lesser-known movie.

Question #3) What is one of your most embarrassing moment?

Answer: Ah dang, seriously? （￣～￣;）Hokay well I have a lot to choose from LOL So, I will have to pick the time I wasn’t feeling well in class and I had my head laying down on the desk and crying. This guy came up to me and asked if I needed to talk  about anything, I said no, and he replied that anytime I need someone to talk to I could go to him.  That was cool cause I thought he was super cute and kinda had a crush on him. Well, I got to feeling worse and whispered in my best friends ear why I wasn’t feeling good, then asked the teacher to go to the nurses office. When I returned from the nurses, the guy from earlier blurted out to the whole class “Are you done having your period yet?!” Everyone busted out laughing. I was mortified. Turned out when I told my best friend another student over heard her, and in turn told the first guy, who I guess was embarrassed for having offered emotional support when it was really girly pains killing me. Yeah, that was embarrassing for a number of reasons,

Question #4) Do you sing?

Answer: Only when I think no one is listening, and at karaoke. I ❤ karaoke. I recently quit smoking cigarettes (yay 3 weeks as of yesterday) and am looking forward to having a good singing voice again and kicking butt at some karaoke. ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ

Question #5) What is something you would really like to try? (Now go make it your goal)

Answer: I would really like to try my hand at sewing again. Though I do not have a sewing machine at this time, I might get one. Soooo we will see ^_^

Question #6) What would you do on a rainy day?

Answer: Make a cup of something nice to sip on, or some soup if it’s cold outside, open the blinds, and watch the rain come in. Sometimes I will play my “rainy day music” and sing along to that, unless someone is home. >.<

Question #7) Choose one word that describes you?

Answer: I think those who know me would agree: Random :p

Question #8) What do you dislike about blogging?

Answer: I can’t really come up with anything other than petty personal issues (like not being able to get my pictures to come out right or not making things fast enough to have more posts)

Question #9)  Who inspires you?

Answer: Many people inspire me in different aspects of life. As for art, decoden, and clay, I have to give a big shout out to the YouTube clay makin’ ladies who’s videos I have watched time and time again – ToniEllison, MyPetiteCakes, PaperPastels, CoolRiceBunnies, and everyone at Sweetorials. If you are into clay and other Japanese type cute stuff, I highly recommend checking out their channels.

As for other aspects of life, my Mother is a big inspiration to me because she was able to raise up my brothers and I to be the awesome people we are today. Thanks, mom!

Also I would like to name Davy Crockett and Sam Houston as my historical figures of inspiration 🙂

Question #10) What do you want to eat right this moment? (you can’t say you’re not hungry)

Answer: How did you know!?!? I want some Breakfast Tacos, and we are all out at home right now V_V MMmmm tacos con salsa son muy delicioso! ( ^‐^) But I will settle with drinking this coffee instead, because it is delicious as well.
