Sorry I have been away so long, friends!
m(_ _)m ゴメンナサイ
Here is the good news though, I have my clay figures in a couple of real life stores now 🙂 🙂 People have been telling me to use Etsy, but it just feels like a big garage sale to me. I figure it is a lot more prestigious to say “yes my work is at (name of store)”, than “yeah I’m in the sea of other crafters on Etsy. Also, people who want to buy can see the charm first, so that is another plus. Edit 2015- I broke down and made an etsy shop to more easily connect with people who are interested in my art. While I still hold that there are some garage sale-y things on the site, and I will continue to vend locally, it is very convenient to use the site for branching out.
This is not to say that I will not do custom orders through the internet though. In other words, if you want something seen on my blog or a custom job done, you can Email Me
Anyways, it took me about two weeks to get everything done to put in the stores. The first week focused solely on Sailor Moon items. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to take fancy pictures of everything so here is one image of all the pieces before they were delivered to their temporary home:
My favorite ones are the pentacles with gemstones in them and the big huge brooch with wings on it. The yellow little heart with wings was quite tricky to make. Everything else I have pretty much done enough times that I’ve got a system down. Hehe SOAD.
The second trip out to town I delivered these to their temporary home with the items above:
This is a Luna P ball. My friend requested one so I went ahead and made a few extras to put in the store. They are super fun to make for some odd reason. I think it’s the goofy eyes and antenna.
Thanks for coming back after such a long hiatus. Now that the assembly line to hurry and get things produced for stores is shut down, there will be more regular updates at DecoJenn.com 🙂
I also wanted to add that when you click on a small image, the pop up will be an even larger image. Thank you boyfriend for helping me crop and edit the pictures better 😛
It’s been pretty eventful around here the past few weeks.
I’ve relearned how to ride a bike and rode everyday for nearly a week straight! We went to a park and rode a few miles on a trail too.
Also last night I got to see the play Wicked! That was super cool! I want to watch it again :p
Here we go on with the show tho:
OOPS I DID IT AGAIN
got stuck in this game of clay oops I think that I’m stuuu-uuuck
I’m not that coordinated!
hehehe, this happened when I was trying to make a Chibimoon wand that is not yet posted. Had to put it down for a while after it attached my fingers together and I haven’t had the gumption to retry it yet X_X
Shoe shopping for the play and I ran into this little guy =^_^= . Had he and his twin not been so expensive I would have adopted them V_V
Saw this on the way to Wicked.
That’s a lot of scrap metal on wheels. Poor cars 😦 cars have feelings too!
This is the skyline view from the patio during intermission. I haven’t seen a view like that in ages. It was really cool.
And the winner for where a lot of my time during the day goes to:
These two are constantly going at it, though we think that it is Luna doing the instigating. Actually, he is… I just have a hard time admitting that X_X
Luna is curious of the random white cat trolling through our yard. I believe this cat may be one of our midnight meowers.
The cat’s in the bag, baby!
This one changes her sleeping spot roughly biweekly, and almost on schedule too.
Hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into the life of DecoJenn and Co.
Oreos! Lollipops! Miniature cakes! and hopefully T.A.R.T. will come to fruition as well.
Have a good day everyone!
Ugh, there goes my assistant, sleeping on the job again…. （｀ー´）ヘヘーン
Come on Luna, this is no time for snoozing! >.<
His right paw is missing a chunk of fur because he had to go to the hospital a couple weeks ago. 😦 He is recovering now thanks goodness!!!
Anyways, I saw a particularly funny sight today at the grocery store:
This is the south, que paso?
That empty portion of the shelf, the only Pace Picanté Sauce that even remotely looks like it’s selling? …That is the Mild variety.
What. In. The. World.
Who eats mild picanté sauce??
Toto, I don’t think I’m in Texas anymore! （￣～￣;）
Last but not least, here is an image of what my next project will be:
I’m jus’ kidding y’all.
Thought that was a funny picture and highly relevant to this here blog.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!!
