♦.:’ My Little Pony Resin Showcase ‘:.♦

ʕ•̫ʔ♡*:.✧ Hey-lo everyone! Welcome back to my internet corner. 🙂 Hope y’all are doin’ okay, ’cause here it’s so cold and rainy, I just wanna drink hot beverages and watch anime all day. It’s even too cold to make clay, as the clay just cracks instead of molding smoothly, which means Chibi Act Two is on hold ’till the weather goes back to normal. 😦

Moving on, today we have the My Little Pony resin pieces, which a couple of them I am stupid excited about. Let’s begin with the small ones and work up to the Jumbo Double Sided Wall Ornament!

This is the first double sided resin piece I've made. It is cut from a comic book and suspended in resin with little confetti hearts as a border.

Just a few MLP necklaces. It is really difficult to fit stickers in these molds, but I can't find any others around this size that give a shine finish, most ice cube trays and candy molds in cute shapes leave the resin with a matte finish.

This is everyone's favorite of the MLP pieces. I can see why, it's hilarious!

This is everyone’s favorite of the MLP pieces. I can see why, it’s hilarious! The resin seeped onto the right side of the picture a little bit, and I could “cover it” with some bling stones, but I like the simplicity of the piece as it is. What do you think?

…Drumroll Please!!

This is the Jumbo Double Sided Wall Ornament. I put some cute bows on the top to make it more kawaii and a white chain to hang from. I'm super proud of this piece!

It is six inches tall and three inches wide.

Here is the back of the Jumbo piece. Orignally, I had intended this to be the front, but after I put the cabochons on the other side, that kinda transformed into the better side :p Sometimes with art, what you don't plan comes out the best!

I hope everyone enjoyed the My Little Pony Resin Showcase!

By the way, I took these pictures in the new lightbox I made thanks to a suggestion from Kat at Pretty Cake Machine (thanks, chica!). Y’all let me know if the pictures are looking better this time around. 🙂

Have a good one, see ya ’round like a donut!ʕ•̫͡•ʕ*̫͡*ʕ•͓͡•ʔ-̫͡-ʕ•̫͡•ʔ*̫͡*ʔ-̫͡-ʔ

^^ What’s Up Guys? or What I Have Been Working on Lately ^^

~(=^‥^)ノ Hello everyone and welcome to my little internet corner! Today’s blog post is named after one of my favorite anime theme songs, What’s Up Guys from Bakaretsu Hunters sung by Megumi Hayashibara (my all time favorite Japanese singer) and some guy. I love to sing this song, even though I have never seen the anime ;>.>

Anyways, on with the pictures!

Cakes and Sweets

These are some colorful cakes I made at work. I am trying a new method for the texturing that hopefully makes them look more realistic. They are tiny charms, smaller than a quarter.

These are so much fun to make, I just love them.

Sandwich cakes are so much fun to make, I just love them. Oh, I made the plate too, and the table is a repainted dollar store dollhouse furniture piece.

This is a mint chocolate cake with cherries on top. I can't stand real cherries, but they are very easy to make, hehe. Honestly can't decide if this piece would sell or not, so it's just kind of floating around my work area like a lost puppy.

These are tiny little candy sweets for tea time. I really just wanted to make something small and yellow at the time. The doilies were also made by me. Though they are quite fragile, it's nice to have a method for creating my own miniature doilies.

These were made with a ton of translucent clay mix with a tiny bit of yellow-y tan, to get that real live cake look. They are up for sale in my Etsy store right now, probably not for long though!

Pendants

These are made with polymer clay and resin over the stickers. I haven't glazed the clay yet nor decided if I should add paint accents or bling rhinestones. The bottlecap is for scale, I couldn't find my quarter at the time and didn't feel like digging through piles of craft mess. >.<;;

The pendant on the right is the original from Japan from which I made a mold and then the pendant on the left from polymer clay/ I painted the white and gold onto the clay. Not too shabby for a first try! I've been wearing a pink background version of this for days now. I love it sooo much <3

This Is the same method as the above picture, but with Tuxedo Mask. Eventually I will have replicated the entire set of 7 total.

Resin

This is one of many, many My Little Pony resin pieces to come. The stars inside are candy sprinkles. ^-^ I have actually been making a ton of resin lately, and I thought I had more pictures, though that seems not to actually be the case. In the future I will do an all resin post. I've got some neat tricks up my sleeve, wait till ya see 'em!

Now that I am all nostalgic from listening to 90’s anime music while writing this post, it’s a good time to kick back and watch Get Backers!

Have a nice day everyone and stay tuned for the next Chibi Act – Sailor Mercury!

** Introducing Sailor Moon Dessert Replica Miniatures ** or … ~**Chibi Act One – Usagi**~

Hello ~ヾ(^∇^) Welcome to DecoJenn’s cafe! *^_^*

Today I have some exciting news! Let me give a little background to better explain it.

One day while browsing the Reddit, I saw some most excellent home-made and completely original Sailor Moon desserts. Immediately I thought how awesome it would be to make little miniature versions of them, so I contacted my new friend Katharina at A Pretty Cake Machine and she gave me the green light on recreating her desserts from clay!

This is the first in the series, with the rest to follow as time goes on. Since these are smaller versions, each new sweets replica will be titled a “Chibi” act, as chibi is Japanese for “small or little” (for those of my readers who are not Japanese lingo savvy :P)

Now on with the show!

Chibi Act One – Usagi (Sailor Moon) – Creampuff Cake

Please ignore the TV lookin lines! I took the images in this post with my mobile phone and not the fancy camera, so they are a bit wonky.

Mini version with the original in the background

The cake is sitting on a quarter for scale… It is tiny! Also I promise there will be better pictures next time >.<

The real Creampuff Cake can be found at the link below. I suggest everyone check it out and see how this decadent treat is made. 🙂

Thanks for reading, have a nice day, and see you next time!
