!.:.*Cafe Official Sneak Peak*.:.!

Hi everyone! *waves* Today I have some super exciting pictures to share, so let’s get right to it!

Table for Two? Right this way. :3

Decided to give the table a cloth, which is actually a doily.

Don't mind the mess on the left, the cook just got a little frustrated and flipped a table.

The lighting varies because I spent over 2 hours trying to get it right. The top picture seems to look the best, now if I can just remember which settings I used to acheive that look ^-^”

In the first and second pictures, I used the same small table, but I am not sure if the table looks better with or without the cloth. What do y’all think? I like the small thickness for seating and the long for displaying cakes. too bad I have only one of that particular table.

The third picture has a tea set with a cake roll to the left, and the first picture features the same one. The cake is a cell phone charm, as you can see with the string in the tea cup. :p Anyways, the whole point of this major project is making a nice scene to display the little cake charms, particularly to sell them. I am not sure if it looks better with the tea set (might be washed out with too much white), or alone on the table for two. Oh, the major decisions in life.

As always, feedback is welcomed and appreciated, even though no one really leaves comments anymore *sad face*.

Have a nice day, and stay dry this weekend to all the locals!

.:.*Weekend Project and a Little Extra*.:.

Hello my friends, I hope everyone survived the cold cold weekend, and to those of you in warmer climates, I am totes jelly.  .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·. On the bright side though, this cold weather should soon get me in the holiday spirit, which means festive winter clay pieces will be on the way. I’ve already had one customer at work asking where my Christmas earrings are, so I should deliver soon. :p

The cake army production has finally come to a hault. There are now enough to fill the cafe, which is nearly complete itself. Since no one has left any suggestions on how to swank-i-fy the scene, I am left to my own imagination, which is currently frozen due to the weather, hehe. I do have one small cake image to share, though.

A fancy coffee cake, so tiny it fits on the tip of your finger.

On the resin front, Jackie and I finally finished up her Frozen pieces and they look awesome. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture before they went to her house, but I will perhaps upload  a potato pic later on.

While the Frozen resin was happening, I started my own new line of what I like to call “Ice Crystal Pendants”. They are made with a clear background and slightly bundled glitter, so they look kind of like ice and the glitter gives a cystalline effect.

Finally we have the big Weekend Project, which I worked on during football. I take a tray and some supplies, set them up on the couch, and watch the games while working. It’s a pretty neat set up since I get to craft, see the games, and spend time with my boyfriend. ❤ 🙂

Taste the Rainbow. :D

The little cameo frames on the right came from a mold that I made from a cheapy cabochon and the wings on the right a made from a mold of wings I ordered off Etsy. I am intending to make the cameos into necklaces and the wings into hairclips, then sell or wear them as matching sets. 🙂 I’ve wanted the wing clips for a really long time so I am super excited to have them in a variety colors. As for the cameos, I will probably put Monster High, Hello Kitty, and Sailor Moon pictures in them.

As always, thanks for reading and feel free to leave feedback in the comments. I love to hear from people, including you! ( ^_^)/Ciao!

*~ Cafe Painting Update, Massive Mini Cake Army, and Frozen Resin with my Friend :) ~*

Good day, everyone. Hope you are all staying warm on this most chilly of days. I hear you Yankees mumbling about Texas not being cold, shush! We don’t do cold down here in the land of iced tea and bar-b-que!

Speaking of being cold, my friend Jackie came by the Art Lab with some Frozen stickers yesterday and began making her first resin peices! She is a huge fan of the movie, so we hunted down the stickers and ended up in a Frozen gold mine at FiveBelow. If anyone is looking for Frozen merchandise, head to FiveBelow, stat. Anyways, here is an image of the process so far. Personally I think she did great with the colors and glitters. 🙂

Poor Olaf's arm got torn but I am going to fix it today. The Anna and Elsa look great with the snowy background. Perhaps we will add some snowflakes to the right hand side. :)

In other art news, as the title suggests, I have amassed an army of miniature cakes to put on display in the cafe. I take a little travel pack of clay and tools, set up shop at work, and make cakes whilst doing my job. *snicker snicker* puttin’ in double time over here .>:) These cakes will also go up for sale on my etsy, as soon as the cafe is finished and can display them.

Everyone's favorite is the eclair. Thanks Frozen friend for the suggestion :))

Lastly, we have some images of the cafe progress. I think it’s coming along great from its hot pink beginnings. Hey, I love me some hot pink, but my cafe needs to be swanky.

Here is the dining side as shown in the last blog post.

The baking side, complete with stone oven. See those things on the shelf? Yeah, I am seriously dreading painting those. xD

If anyone has sugestions for the floor color, or how to make it look more Victorian-Aristocratic-esque, please please leave me a comment or drop me a line through other means.

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, stay warm and keep smiling! 🙂
