Until recently, I have focused on cakes, sweets and decoden, so branching off into the video game realm has been a new and exciting challenge for me. I think my little guys turned out pretty well. ^_^ But I wanna know what you think too 😉
These are Shy Guys from Super Mario Brothers. The original shy guy is pretty cute, but these are just plain creepy in my opinion. Their creepiness makes them cool, though.
Here we have Moogles from the Final Fantasy series. My friend says they look closer to the Final Fantasy VI.
This is Kirby. from left to right, as a vampire, himself, Link, and lastly Sailor Moon. Kirby is cool because he is versatile ^_^
On the Left is a Rabbite from Secret of Mana, and on the right a Chocobo from Final Fantasy. I took a pic of their back and side so everyone can see the bunny’s poofy tail, and detail on the Chocobo.
This is the main Key Blade from Kingdom Hearts. Boy was this thing a challenging frustration to make -_-;;
There will be a lot more video game characters in the future as well. If anyone has a suggestion or request, feel free to leave a comment 🙂
Sorry I have been away so long, friends!
m(_ _)m ゴメンナサイ
Here is the good news though, I have my clay figures in a couple of real life stores now 🙂 🙂 People have been telling me to use Etsy, but it just feels like a big garage sale to me. I figure it is a lot more prestigious to say “yes my work is at (name of store)”, than “yeah I’m in the sea of other crafters on Etsy. Also, people who want to buy can see the charm first, so that is another plus. Edit 2015- I broke down and made an etsy shop to more easily connect with people who are interested in my art. While I still hold that there are some garage sale-y things on the site, and I will continue to vend locally, it is very convenient to use the site for branching out.
This is not to say that I will not do custom orders through the internet though. In other words, if you want something seen on my blog or a custom job done, you can Email Me
Anyways, it took me about two weeks to get everything done to put in the stores. The first week focused solely on Sailor Moon items. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to take fancy pictures of everything so here is one image of all the pieces before they were delivered to their temporary home:
My favorite ones are the pentacles with gemstones in them and the big huge brooch with wings on it. The yellow little heart with wings was quite tricky to make. Everything else I have pretty much done enough times that I’ve got a system down. Hehe SOAD.
The second trip out to town I delivered these to their temporary home with the items above:
This is a Luna P ball. My friend requested one so I went ahead and made a few extras to put in the store. They are super fun to make for some odd reason. I think it’s the goofy eyes and antenna.
Thanks for coming back after such a long hiatus. Now that the assembly line to hurry and get things produced for stores is shut down, there will be more regular updates at DecoJenn.com 🙂
I also wanted to add that when you click on a small image, the pop up will be an even larger image. Thank you boyfriend for helping me crop and edit the pictures better 😛
If you couldn’t tell by the title I am super excited about this new batch of charms. Go ahead and check em out 🙂
Here is a panda bear holding a taco. I made it for a friend so I hope he likes it as much as I do!
This little guy is from the show Adventure Time. I have never seen the show personally, but my boyfriend is a big fan and likes this character so I made a charm for him. It came out realllllly good, I am having a hard time letting him take the charm hehehe
This is the back of BMO so you can see he is pretty detailed.
First attempt at a bubble gum machine. I am really fond of those things so expect more in the future ^_^
Alright well that’s it for now. As always if you would like to see me make something, feel free to leave a comment below. It’s easier to figure out what to make when I have requests rather than sitting there wanting to make allll the things :p
Since I have been on this Wicked kick lately, I decided to make a charm of the poster image for the play:
I wonder what Glinda is telling Elphaba.
Yeah I know, it looks pretty crappy, the lines aren’t too smooth, Elphaba’s smile looks like something off Sesame Street, and it’s kinda got a wobbly border. This is the first attempt, I don’t think it’s *too* bad considering that fact, though I will try again in the future to make a better one. My cousins and their kids love Wicked so these would make good Christmas gifts for them. 🙂
So I woke up a couple mornings ago and first thing I saw was my teddy bear Brownie. He’s been with me since I was a baby, so I am really attached to this bear. When I go spend the night out, I still pack him along. Anyways, when I saw Brownie the other morning, I thought I should make a clay version. Here he is below, Mini Brownie ^_^
The original Brownie is a bean filled chubby little guy with a goofy smile and tiny eyes that are slightly crooked. I tried to replicate those attributes with the mini version.
When I was a kid, I imagined that Brownie was a “Circus Bear”, because his yellow collar kind of reminded me of what a clown would wear. Now the collar is very faded and the stretchy band in it has all but worn out :(. At least he is still in over all good health and now has a mini friend ｵｶｴﾘ♪(ﾉ´∀｀*)ﾉ
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!
I have been talking about making this for a while, and finally got to create it today.
Any other Candy Crush fans out there will know exactly what this is. ＼（＾ ＾）／
*dances around wildly*
ホーリー！！( ・_・）ノ ζ|||ζ
I did it! ^_^
Here is a side view so you can see the texture and depth.
This is the Candy Crush icon on a cellular phone, for the uninitiated 😛
Have a good night/day/whatever time it is where you are!
More clay creations that are so fresh, the glaze hasn’t finished drying yet.
Today, you will most likely really have to click to enlarge X_X I will try taking more close up pictures next time.
These are made from a failed strawberry cane, the ends of a lemon cane, and left over blueberry clay. Here at Decojenn, we believe in reusing and recycling 😉
These are the pieces from Candy Crush, in a very small form. I had been meaning to remake the larger charm bracelet into a smaller one, though I think the charms are *too* small this time around. I’m having a Goldilocks problem >.<
The anticipation of having Hello Kitty charms was killing me. As soon as they were cool and I had free time, I began painting them. …Well, we started off with 4 but now there are only 2 that are decent enough to leave the studio, which means the other 2 are bound for the land of misfit toys…
These two, while no where near perfect, are decent enough to hit the frosting by the end of the weekend.
I couldn’t get the camera to focus any better so it had to be a far away pic V_V
On the left we have a little chocolate cherry candy box type deal
On the right is a cherry cake with chocolate frosting. I think he turned out cute ^_^
Lollipops are really fun to make and pretty simple. What color pops would y’all like to see? (PS rainbow will be on the way soon already 😉 ) Or any suggestions on colors for cakes? I don’t really want to search up pictures and copy that, I would rather get inspiration from real people!
Just a few quick charms I made between other projects 🙂
These are easy to make and really cute. Once again they are a creation from failed strawberry canes. >.< Hm, I don’t know why this picture is kinda messed up. Oh well I will retake it later, no big deal 🙂
Pretzel! So cute! So tiny! Just, I couldn’t figure out how to get salt-looking clay on there (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻)
Cookies 😀 nom nom. I don’t know if they look very good. At least they do not look like pizza cookies as my first attempt did!
If you can’t tell, this is a strawberry crepe on a plate with an over sized… spork? LOL
this was actually the first clay creation I made solely from my imagination… and love of crepes
I promise more charms will be coming in the future, I just need to get over the obsession of making creme filled cookies first! (*^^*)
Hello and welcome to the charms page! These are little various things made out of polymer clay, then baked and lastly glossed. Stayed tuned for more charms on the way soon, including cupcakes.
Please click on the image to make it larger 🙂
These cakes were a last minute thought. I was trying to make strawberry canes, kept messing up, so I used the left over clay and made these in the mean time. They actually turned out really well for not even having been a main project!
This is my favorite of the mini cakes.
The cotton candy is very easy to make and super cute. The smore, he needs a little work >.>
ANNNND my biggest charm project to date, the Candy Crush Saga charm bracelet. I think next time I shall make the charms a bit smaller since this is kinda bulky.
Thanks for checking out my charms! ^_^
